Your walls, pops of color showcasing the art were only matched by the equally captivating flora, invited me in and I was rewarded with perfectly unsweetened tastes that were perfectly sweet. Oaxaca, you are the oh-so walkable city that I didn’t know I needed. Mil gracias. Planeo regresar.
Posting vacation videos to social media is an unpopular opinion, and so here I am. I don’t plan to write much, and instead share sights and sounds. Oaxaca, you might have very well snuck into my top 5 cities I have visited of all time. Here’s to being pleasantly surprised. *getshomeandgooglesoxacamidcenturymodernhomedecor
It was love at first taste with the Oaxacan espresso tonic, the chilled drink I didn’t know I needed at Boulenc Pan y Café, paired with a great conversation with the barista who was very enamored with my Ritchey Breakaway. Most cafes do not have decaf but we managed to find one on my last day of the trip: nono café.
I tried guacamole with Chapulines (grasshoppers) the first night…can recommend. Oaxacan Hot chocolate served in a bowl is a total vibe too. When asked, my very friendly tattoo artist, Carla Michelle, replied Tlayuda is her favorite food, which I happened to sample on my first night.
Oaxaca left quite an impression on me…literally.
